ABOUT US

Michael Westenberg - The "aficionado"

Developing his passion and interest in classic cars at the age of 6, it's hardly surprising that Michael Westenberg has carved a broad expertise in classic cars next to his successful international business career. Michael grew up in the historic city of Enkhuizen, the Netherlands, and studied business economics and international marketing at the HES Amsterdam – University of Applied Sciences.

He started his career in 2000 at a Dutch logistics firm, where he found himself developing a successful business career in Central & Eastern Europe and Turkey till 2010. In 2011 he left corporate life to privatize a Dutch consultancy firm (now named the NXT Group)  with offices in The Netherlands, Turkey, Colombia and India and was responsible for the companies rapid growth and market introduction of over 750 companies into emerging markets. In 2016 Michael decided to turn his hobby into a more serious practice and founded the Brock & Duntov activity from his home country the Netherlands.

Michael enjoys classic car events at the wheel of his beloved 2nd generation Chevrolet Corvette (Sting Ray - 1965) and believes classic cars should be enjoyed. As a hobby he researches the C2 Corvette model and history of Classic Car brands, and since 2011 has been helping friends and business relations in finding, buying and shipping their ‘dream cars’.

Sander van Ballegooij - The technical "Go To" guy

At a young age Sander van Ballegooij was exposed to classic cars, since his father was an avid collector of classic motorcycles and 'old' Fords from the '30. Sander grew up in the city of Zaandam, the Netherlands, and in his spare time he worked on developing his restoration skills,

His first classic car was an Opel GT (mini Corvette), which he restored in his spare time. The GT made place for a classic Pontiac Firebird, which eventually ensured that he could obtain his personal favourite - a C1 Corvette (1960 model).

Untill 2017 Sander enjoyed  restoring classic cars in his spare time, but early 2018 he branched out on his own and started his own Classic Car Restoration & Hot-Rod shop in the Netherlands (StingRay 63 Builds). As a professional Sander restores Corvettes based on NCRS specs, builds customized and resto-mod cars according to his own design and maintains various US classic cars for his growing portfolio of clients.
